TANNER POSTED THIS , THIS MORNING FOR HIS FRIENDS BDAY

Tannerp_3 11 hours ago

Happy Birthday Chris! We have been best friends since 3rd grade and made so many memories like the raccoon's on the trampoline, brad making that sandwich in the middle of the night, playing with Pete, or the scary guy in the dirt room. Have an awesome birthday!

AND THEN CHRIS' REPLY.
its.c.grizzThanks man. Those are the best memories of us together thanks so much!!!

I went down to tanners room this morning to remind him to take his gift for Chris. for the b day party after school today.
We got him & nicely wrapped a King size bag of skittles and a $25 iTunes gift card.

Which is more than we would usually spend but as you can see Chris has been around a long time and Tanner truly recognizes the value of a good friend ship.  actually our whole family enjoys having Chris around.

Tanner tosses the "gift" into his back pack and while doing so tells me he is also giving Chris that really cool Rip City Blazers T-Shirt that he got for Christmas and is to big for him, a pair of Derek Rose (Basketball player) elite socks he only wore once and $20!!

Note: Tanner and his buddies trade clothes all the time. just as much as girls do at this age, they even text each other in the morning to see who's wearing what color or team so they don't clash teams or look like twins! its kinda funny.

Conversations with Tanner:So I said "that's really nice of you, but I don't think you need to give him $20 of your own money when we already spent $25 on the git card."

He says: yeah, but I still have like $170 in my wallet. Me: really? what from?

T: remember dad let me play in the basketball bracket with him and his buddies from work? Well None of them bet on DUKE and I did!

I won the whole pool it was like $386 I had to split it with dad though because we both put in $10 and he let me pick the teams.

Me: oh. okay. as I'm thinking I vaguely remember hearing about this spectacular thing they were all excited about.

So, I stand there for a minute and all of a sudden I realize I should be in praise mode.  Not inquisitive mode! lol

So, I turned around and said: I'm really proud of you for recognizing what a great friend Chris is and wanting to show him how much you a appreciate your friendship.

That is something I have always taught you, "Take good care of your friendships, so they last you a life time."
